Happy non-Turkey Day!

Carpooling has been a fun experience. It gives us (Saphraine, mom, and occasionally Elysa) the chance to catch up, share our day and save lots of gas. The HOV probably cuts drive time in half some days. Unless of course you find yourself in a complete stop like this past week. Oh no, first day late while Hillary's gone and as SOON as I text Lisa the lane starts up again. WHEW! But one downfall of carpooling is I "clock out" at 5PM and usually sit and wait for my ride at least 15 minutes. One day Saphraine was stuck in terrible traffic that I didn't leave until 545! But its the sacrifice we are making in this season and I get to update my personal journal or get changed for Zumba. Its a little embarrassing walking out of the hotel in my hot pink workout pants and trashy tanktops. I def will NOT start a fashion corner for Zumba. I'd fail with a big F (fashion fauxpa!)

As mentioned, Elysa was covering phones as a temp with Katho and so her and I began emailing back and forth about fun temp experiences. Hopefully we'll have a snipet about ANOTHER temp's experience soon. Surely my temping experience can't be the only whacky and fun one to write about! We were chatting about new office experiences and we began to talk about things in the office that make our lives easier. So I started looking around and taking pictures of these objects for a new shout out to objects in the office. We'll add it to our weekly highlights...now I just need a witty name for it!

First "fun objects in the office" post is with my online radio!
Pandora.com is my new favorite discovery. At work I usually sit in the back managers office and I always have pandora on. My most used station is "Sade Radio" with Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye. Singin Alicia keys to groove through my work day! Some days I listen to "Muse" radio with Killers and Coldplay. But recently I put in Regina Spektor and enjoyed FrouFrou and discovered a new fav band called "Cat Power." I'm gonna have to get into them after hours.

My Christmas radio is all the old jazzy tunes, I'm pretty sure its called Baby, its cold outside with Ella Fitzgerald. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong frequent that one. The first part of my day I try to play "Phil Wickham" radio to bring the presence of God into the workplace. Its pretty productive.

During Thanksgiving "vacation" I worked everyday but Thursday to get some hours in and catch up on some wrapping. I've had a bit of a nightmare getting orders in for our kids Christmas event. Hours and hours on the phone with flipping companies customer service centers. No joke, I've spent over 12 hours on the phone trying to get our orders RUSHED. Its been a nightmare but I feel like I've really learned some lessons in being assertive and making things happen! Hehe (oh yeah that is a self timer pic!)

In the culinary corner I behaved in the beginning but got a bit naughty as the week progressed. Started off with salads and fruit and by Wed I added mashed potatoes and corn to my salad. Friday I brought left over Jimmy's: Ziti Napolitan with spinach. Basically eggplant over macaroni with pink sauce.

I didn't have anyone to take pictures of me so I missed a couple of outfits this week. But here's a couple outfits for my fashion in the workplace. We might have some repeats coming up soon!
