Routines, changes, and familiarity

I'm trying hard to keep my intro away from the bathroom this week. Its just where I step away from the job and think about things! This week I worked alongside an intern and decided I don't like it. Interns have such a different mindset. I guess when money's not involved...

Ok now to potty talk! I get very stuck in routine. I frequent the same stall every time. But I realized my stall's automatic flusher was ALWAYS flushing prematurely. So I broke myself of the routine of using the 3rd stall and talked myself into using the last stall. The only problem is now that I always use the end stall (which waits for me to stand up before flushing) is directly in front of a sink without soap. SO this week I have to convince myself to always head towards the middle sink so I don't have to, with wet hands, move over and get soap. I've kinda been stall hopping after someone threw up in the last stall...stall #2 doesn't flush on me but its probably used more since its right in front. The things you think about when you are at work all day!

I've been doing reference checks on new hires/applicants and today I went to a bit of a shady site today to find someones previous employer phone numbers. The answer machine message went something like this:
"Hello this is Skip Jackson. You better watch yourself, because there is royalty in the house!" How bizarre. I still left a message...haha!

I found out we're entering flu season. One sign is that almost everyone in my house is/was sick! Two, I stuck up about 40 posters around the hotel reminding people to "Cover their Coughs" and not to spread germs. Apparently the new thing is cough or sneeze into your SLEEVE not your hand...because you wear you're sleeves all day and washing your hands isn't good enough anymore! I also got in touch with my Hispanic roots and learned how to cover my mouth in Spanish.

Culinary corner:
Monday I had a salad
Wednesday I brought left over eggplant parm and enjoyed it with a salad. Everyone frowned at me and asked what it was.
Friday, ok I'm ashamed of this. My boss asked me to run and get some Auntie Annie's pretzels and I looked at Lisa and said "Nooo." She was like "Oh yeah that's Xaundelle's weakness!" So Hillary goes, "Ok I'll buy you one!" NOOO. I had Auntie Annie's pretzel sticks with honey mustard and a pomegranate, immune system booster, Jamba Juice...

Fashion in the workplace
Here are Wednesday and Friday outfits from this week. I'm super pissed I can't find Monday's photo because I KNOW I took it! I'll upload it as soon as I find it in my mess of pictures.
